Top 5 Lush products

Hello!
Thought I'd share with you my top 5 Lush products that I have tried so far, enjoy!

1.  Honey I Washed the Kids soap

This is a gentle honey-toffee smelling soap that many people love. This is the one lush product I probably couldn't live with without and I don't know what I did before I discovered it!
This soap is not ideal if you prefer lots of lather and bubbles, its more of a milky soap I would say. It contains honey water and aloe so its antibacterial, really moisturising, soothing and gentle to sensitive skin. I definitely recommend it!
Other products that smell similar to Honey I Washed The Kids are:

Honeybee bath Bomb
It's Raining Men shower gel
Honey trap lip balm

2. Let the Good Times Roll facial cleanser

I am loving this at the moment! The smell is amazing, it reminds me of biscuits or cookie dough and I want to eat it in the shower! It contains maise flour, polenta, popcorn and a cinnamon (which gives it a warm scent).  This product was originally in their Christmas range but has recently become permanent due to its popularity, which is exciting because this has become an important factor in my morning skincare routine. I have dry skin which is good because this product is designed for normal/dry skin and is described as being a gentle exfoliant. After I have used Let the Good Times Roll My skin feels clean, bright and smooth- almost waxy, and prepares my skin for makeup application. The only downside is that you only have 3 months with it before it expires, but if you use it every day you will be able to get through it all!

3. The Enchanter Bath Ballistic

I haven't tried all the Lush bath bombs yet but so far this is my favourite (with golden wonder coming close behind!) It's definitely the best visually and it smells AMAZING, citrussy but also with a woody kind of scent.  I loved how it made my bath tub look like the surface of a planet and the bathwater was left a deep blood orange, however there is so much dye in it that it stained my bath tub and my fingers! It was easily washed off so its not much of a big deal to me. The Enchanter contains Lime oil, Neroli oil and olibanum oil which is what gives it it's amazing scent! I would recommend this for a morning bath as the citrus is great to wake you up! I just wish it was packed full of glitter because I love glitter in bath bombs!

4. The Melting Snowman bath melt

Unfortunately, this melting snowman has got a bit messed up because I keep him with my other bathbombs and bubble bars and I'm so upset he's lost his eyes and nose!
This has got to be my favourite smelling product from the Christmas range, it reminds me of the taste of mulled wine. He contains Cinnamon, Benzoin, clove, Patchouli, sweet wild orange oils and lime. Apparently his eyes and buttons are made of cocoa butter which is very moisturising!
Although this product doesn't do much visually for you bath (it slowly melts and turns your water a milky white colour), for me its all about the scent and how it makes your skin feel and would be perfect for any cold wintery night.

5. Cinders bath bomb

If you love cinnamon you will love this! Its a seasonal ballistic so it's only available at Christmas time (I stocked up this year). Its smaller than average and it does fizz up quite fast in the bath, however it releases its gorgeous smell of cinnamon and spices, which is what its all about for me. It contains popping candy which I have been able to hear although it could do with having more in as the sound was very faint. Another thing I don't like about it is the colour that it leaves your bath water. It looks like a toilet. And it does nothing noticeable to your skin. I think this would be a bath bomb to use when you don't expect miracles for you skin or bath, but you just want to relax and feel all cozy with the warm and comforting scent.

Thanks for reading and I hope this was useful to people who aren't sure where to start when buying lush products for the first time!

My Lush collection!

I first discovered lush yearrss ago (I must have been about 13/14), when I went Christmas shopping with my dad for his girlfriend. I remember walking in and being memorized by all the smells and colours but I was only young at the time so the prices were far to high for me to afford with my 2 pound a week pocket money!

A few years later I went back in a few times for a browse but never ended up buying anything because I couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on 'soap'. It was only in about September 2012 I went in and decided to buy the bubblegum lip scrub... since that moment I've been hooked.

I live literally a 10 minutes walk away from my local Lush store and I visit every time I'm shopping in town! I love how friendly and helpful the staff are and I often get into full conversations with them.. once even about sperm (don't ask).

I have quite a few things from lush so far and my collection is constantly growing. Can't wait to start reviewing the different products! Hope you enjoy!

Hi!

Hi everyone!

This is my first ever blog post so I'm quite excited! I thought I'd just do an introduction to tell you a bit about me and what my blog is going to be about!

I was born in Preston, England 21 years ago and have lived here ever since. At the moment I work with disabled children at a residential home. I have always been a very creative person, at school and at home I was a complete art nerd.. I might actually post some pictures of my art on here if I ever get round to doing any!

I went to college to do Fine art and Art and Design.. but decided I didn't want to get into a career in art because I felt it was to personal and I didn't like the idea of having deadlines and loads of pressure to do something that should be a way to relieve stress..not create it!

My interest in make up and skincare only developed when I started a course in Beauty Therapy. I really enjoyed experimenting with different looks and products and improving my skills as a make up artist on clients and friends! I then decided to enter competitions, do make up at various photo shoots and fashion shows and I started a Youtube channel (which I now do not use).

Since those days I only really use cosmetics for my own enjoyment, I love to collect different brands and products and compare them, so I thought it might be fun to make a blog and share my thoughts and opinions with other people! I will also include any makeup looks I create!

Hope you enjoy it and I will appreciate any comments or constructive criticism any of you might have! :p
